Our History and Heritage:

In 1918, Essaji-Gulamhusain Kantawalla, a young entrepreneur, ventured into importing various types of weighing scales from England, France and Germany to India. “E.G.Kantawalla” was then a renowned retail outlet, selling weighing scales and measures under the brand “EAGLE” in the bustling by lanes of Crawford Market in Mumbai, India. Later in the year 1960, India discontinued the British system of measuring weight in Pounds and adopted the new Metric system of measurement of weight in Kilograms. This was also the year when E.G. Kantawalla started manufacturing and marketing a gamut of mechanical weighing scales and measures.

Our Business growth and evolution to Middle east….

As the business growth, the customer trust and need on us also increased, then we extended our presence to Middle East.

Eagle Weighing and Measuring Laboratory (EWML) is a part of EAGLE, commissioned adequate facilities and infrastructures to perform calibration activities for Mass and Balance disciplines. The company constantly invests in facilities and people, working closely with customers and business partners to provide quality services all over the middle east.
